You know how the best teachers are often the ones who weren't natural students? That's kind of how I think of myself as a coach.
Before I started working with a coach in 2012 (as part of my professional training), I did not really see how life was going to work out. After a decade of personal development courses and workshops, I was still pretty skeptical of my ability to have what I wanted in life.
I had gone through Claritywork, Outward Bound, Landmark, Reiki Training, and HAI, looking for clarity, alignment, insight, and most of all, purpose. I felt like something was missing.
What I finally started to understand in my work with a coach and in the exploration that opened up, is that I am perfect just as I am, and life is miraculous as it is.
Circumstances change constantly. I can create my life by default, and resist change, or I can do it by intention and enjoy the ride. Not because I need to be fixed or something is missing, but because there is joy and possibility. And things I still want to create.
My professional background has spanned multiple industries--from the book business to socially responsible investing, with forays into landscape/gardening, Outward Bound, education technology and the startup world along the way--almost all of it in client-facing roles.
What has evolved even more than the industry I have been in, has been my ever-deepening desire and expectation that my work would more closely align with who I am, what I find satisfying and enjoyable, and with my values in the world. That is where coaching comes in.
In 2013, I completed the 1-year certified coaches training with Accomplishment Coaching. Since then, I have had the joy of helping people create a life they love.
People who may be new to coaching, but they know they want something more--more confidence, more satisfaction, more joy, more engagement with life on their own terms--and who would like a little support in getting there.
I find particular pleasure in being someone's first coach, and introducing them to the power of their own intention to create and align their inner joy with the life they live in the world.
You are someone who might like some clarity about a life choice or a transition you need to make or a way forward you are seeking.
Maybe there are areas of your life where you have been operating with one eye closed or looking away, trying not to see that things are not quite right. Or maybe you have just given up on certain parts of your life.
Perhaps it is simply time for you to have more fun, excitement, and fulfillment in your life. To feel more engaged and alive and pursue your dreams, whatever direction that may take...
Working with Carrie is like putting a powerful mirror in front of you. Her coaching has reflected parts of myself back to me that I've never had to confront before, and in the process of working through these, I uncovered a lot of clarity inside me. I've also illuminated habits that were holding me back, and as I evolve my thinking, I see myself tackling goals more effectively.
The most important piece of working with Carrie has been her empowerment to set my dreams in motion. By the time we wrapped up together, I had a game plan to bring my vision to life.
If you want to make something happen, I strongly recommend getting Carrie on your side.

A key part of her work that has been exceptionally valuable to me is her ability to not only listen very carefully to me, but even more importantly she has trained me to listen carefully to my own life ... My work with Carrie has been truly transformative, both for my career and for my understanding of why I am doing what I am doing. Her work with me has been one of the greatest gifts that I have ever received in my career. She is an absolute joy to work with...

You help me clean the windshield... interrupt the momentum of perseverating, which picks up like a penny falling from the Empire State Building...
You bring faith: "You got this."
You calm my anxieties about acting--when discussing less certain feelings--the clarity of why...I have clarity about how to approach relationship conflict with my boss and other colleagues--next steps, and what is first.
[Carrie is] a conversation partner that gives people space to explore.
Holds to account with softness...Leaves space for people to feel...Non-judgmental, neutral...Very calm, calming.
Feeling of being uniquely heard...working through decisions, when I am close but can't get there...(after talking to you) I take a few steps forward.
